about my blog name

• i have always loved to read!  mom has many pictures  of me reading while i was growing up — sitting with dad “reading” the newspaper for example.  my favorite pic of all time is of me reading gone with the wind during a rest stop lunch on vacation!  i know i completely ignored my family for three days as i lived in scarlett’s world.  other memories of reading include mom reading to my brother and me the chronicles of narnia series.  in fact, i loved to read so much, that at times my punishment was to have my books taken away!  i was not allowed to read — that’s torture in my book!  ;)   thus the “books”; now, why “icecream” and not scrapping or baseball?
• well, i have always loved eating icecream!  if i could, i would eat it three meals a day.  the chocolatier and darker and fudgier the icecream the better.  my current favorite is ben & jerry’s the gobfather! :)  but, anything chocolate will usually suffice (well, except chocolate and peanut butter, but other than that…).
•  yes, i certainly love baseball — mariners, tigers, cubs — i watch them all.  i certainly love to scrap — i get lost for hours at a time while i work.  but, i must admit — books and ice cream rate above them!
